Kubota recommends cleaning the inside of the main frame at least every 250 hours. As dirt, sticks, and debris build up in the frame of your machine, major problems start to pop up.
When your engine compartment begins to fill with dirt and debris, the engine just can’t cool itself off. This usually leads to overheating and poor performance. In extreme cases, it can even start a fire in the engine compartment. As dirt fills the area between the frame and engine, the engine can’t vibrate correctly. This makes your cab vibrate. When the vibration gets bad enough, you’ll think the whole cab is going to shake apart!
When the area under your cab begins to fill up with dirt, your hydraulics are affected. Hard hydraulic lines can break when they are caked with dirt, letting debris and sand flow all through your hydraulic system. The pumps, valves, and motors that make up your hydraulic system just won’t work right if they’ve had sand run through them.
These problems all lead to expensive repairs, but they can be prevented by a simple wash job! Wash your machine out, engine compartment and under the cab, at least every 250 hours. If you would rather let us do it, just let us know and we’ll handle it for you.
